For those of us out there with Tremec TKO transmissions and long-tube headers: what brand are you running? Also, what mid-pipe are you running?
I am looking to get some new long-tubes with large primaries for use with a new high-boost 331 stroker combo. I am currently running mac's with my 302, but there are clearance issues because those headers are only designed to be used with a T-5. Either way, they are getting tossed.

I run mac headers on my 93 with no clearance issues at all. I got them used and they have 3" collectors. Fits great.

Also had the tko in my 95 and had BBK headers and they fit fine as well.

So with mac or bbk you should be fine.

Where exactly are you experiencing clearence issues.

Running MAC 1 3/4 Ceramics with my TKO and Lakewood scattershield.
Also on a high boost 331 Keith Craft Sportsman Block.

Had to drop the K-Member and install the combo as 1 piece from the bottom after fitting it all together.

Yes, Had many fitment issues, Clearing the bell. I am almost tempted to swap out to a tubular K member.

My clearance issue is on the driver's side, at the point where the clutch cable passes through the bellhousing. One of the tubes on that side is about 1/16th of an inch away from the bellhousing. The heat it creates has melted several clutch cables. I was finally able to wrap the exhaust with some heat wrap to remedy the problem. On hot days in traffic, the cable still gets heated up and becomes stiff. This is something I seek to avoid with the next set of headers.

I have run both MAC and BBK LTs with a 3550. Dont recall any actual clearance issues... just heat issues.

Yea, I have my cable wrapped for the same reason. Plus now I have the jet-hot coated headers...

I ran bbk 1 5/8" ceramic LT's on my 302 with a tremec tko and a mcleod scattershield. It cleared with no grinding. I just picked up a set of ceramic 1 3/4" bbk's for my 347 and i'm hoping they clear my mcleod bell. I like the bbk's because they seems to fit good and have a single flange and they don't have any primaries wrapping around the steering shaft. Only thing I don't like is their collector ball/flange is tiny and needs to be opened up and they aren't equal length. I prefer a better fit over a possible 5hp.
