i have a 66 and i am going to be installing the disk brakes off a 66. my car originally had the drum fruit jar. I need to know which master cylinder to get, i want to get a dual master cylinder( 67w/disk, 75-80 granada w/disk).
Do i have to have a master cylinder made for disk brakes. Do i need to use the stock cylinder lever or do the others bolt right up?

if you are installing disc brakes on the front, and are NOT installing power brakes, get a master cylinder from a 75 granada without power brakes. it is a direct bolt in deal. if you are using power brakes, the the power brake m/c from most any disc/drum ford system will be just fine as the m/c interchange. since oyu are planning disc brakes, you need a disc/disc m/c from a late model mustang, and i do highly recomend adding power brakes.

what is at issue is the size of the bore. I had 4 wheel disks and then upgraded to power brakes. MPBrakes.com sells a 1 1/8 inch bore MC for use with 4 wheel power disks. SSBC sells a 1 inch bore MC for use with their 4 wheel power disk kits. The bigger bore will give you are harder pedal.
