Alright, I've been using 91 or 93 octane for my snake for the 10 months I've owned it. One cobra owner (owned a 96 as well) told me not to stop as they can't use any lower octane. Is this true or have I been bamboozled?

Yes and No.

You can run 87 octane in your snake if you drive around like a normal person. I'm sure you know this is plain boring as hell The first time you floor your car with 87 octane could be the last time you did it. It's way more safe to simply run the highest octane they sale at the pumps. This way when you pull up to a red light, you want be cought with your pants down when some civic wants to run you.

Simply put: stay with high octane fuel.

Alos, just sn FYI, it's also not a good idea to go flooring your ride with it cold out side.

I always use 93 in both cars. It's not worth the risk of detonating your motor over paying 2.45 per gallon vs. 2.25 per gallon.

As stated above, premium fuel only.

exactly...your engine should be worth the extra $3.00 you spend on a full tank of premium...
