I'm use to my car leaking water a little, usually I just get a few drips here and there.
That was last summer though.
Over this last winter I noticed that if it was snowing it would come up over the top of the windshield in between it and the convertible top.
No bid deal right? I can deal with a few drops of water and some snow inside my car. Its not like it was alot, just...a few flakes landing on my lap while driving down the highway.
But.
The other day I was out driving in the rain...like MAJOR rain, it was coming down so hard the roads were flooded with about a foot of water in some places, my little windshield wipers couldn't keep up with it all.
The water was just POURING into my car.
I'm not exaggerating either. My girlfriend and I were on out way back from buying a movie at the mall...I had to hold the bag that the movie came in up in the air to catch the water as I drove. Filled the bag right up. Continued to drip down onto my steering wheel, my lap, and seat...looked liked I pee'd myself by the time we got home.
It also started leaking a little above the passenger side onto my girlfiends lap in the front corner.
Its never leaked on the passenger side before.
My first instinct tells me its coming in from where my convertible top seals up against the winshield. Because that's where I can see the snow coming durring winter.
Today I went outside and did some investigating to see where it all was leaking from. Here are some pictures where the convertible top seals up against the top of the windshield.
You can see (from the pattern in the dust) it looks like its just ...coming in from everywhere on the driver side. But just a small like leak on the passenger side.

I don't know if you can tell anything from it, but here is what the convertible top seal looks like:
When I bought the car (2 years ago) I was told it had a brand new convertible top. And man its in perfect condition, even has a glass back window.
When the top was replaced...would it have had the seals replaced? Or do they just give you the fabric that you attach to everything else? I'm just wondering if these are new weatherstripping seals I have, or if they are the original ones.
Now, upon further inspection I noticed that there is a small gap in the corner of my drivers side main window. When looking at it from the driver seat its the top right corner

After noticing that...I remembered that there was all this stuff (sorry not sure what its called) all bunched up around my windshield...I'm wondering if that could leak water also.

So...what all pieces would I need to fix all this?

Test to see where your problem areas are, maybe some homedepot WS will do the trick
