i finally got some money together to put into my car. its a stock 289 2V 65 coupe with a green dot auto. the car is a daily driver and will see the strip about once a month. im torn between a t-5 or a new pumpkin. if i got a new pumpkin i would try and get a 9" with gears around 3.5:1 and tracloc. my stock axles are 28 spline, right? the t-5 would be great to have just because its not a green dot auto. when the car is all done i plan on pushing around 325 hp at the wheels out of a 302 or 351w. so your advice and suggestions are highly appreciated. thanks a lot.

I personally would do the T-5 conversion first since it will be the most fun to drive plus it will give you better economy. The rearend is a worthy upgrade but as long as you engine is stock you really don't need this upgrade yet and it will just hurt economy.

I say go with the T5. It will be mmore funn and you will get a lower first gear too.
