I'm running DSS-Pro Lite pistons. Compression is about 11:1. When the new 331 has about 1,500 miles I'm going back on the Dyno to retune. Figure I'll get about 25 more horsepower just by breaking everything in.

What kind of dyno are you using? Mustang Dynos typically read quite a bit lower than Dynojets. I'm betting you're using a Mustang Dyno or something similar that reads low.

Have you run it at the track?

not that I have an opinion either way on his time or yours (both respectable times), just wondering how much weight you think you are giving up with the 351 over our 302 strokers? I bet you would be in the 11's with that power on a 302 stroker. I am also sure you will be very soon even with your heavier 351.

Yeah, my downfall is my weight @ almost 3400 lbs. When I can afford it, I will throw down the 205 AFR's. Change my k-member and a arms, and go with the coilover setup. I just want to get under 3000 lbs and I will be happy

No...it was a Dynojet 248-C Chassis Dynamometer that measured the car. I'm also wondering if my super crappy S-Rated Firestone Firehawks which were on the car at the time of the Dyno screwed things up. I have BFG Comp T/A Drag's on the car now.

I have heard the best things about the 83mm Pro-M, It's plastic, and wont conduct heat from the engine compartment giving you more accurate readings

Wow. Yeah, maybe your tires were spinning on the drum. I dunno.

You've got a nice combination going. IMO you should see at least 350 rwhp, probably more like 370 rwhp with the right cam. That cam must really be holding you back. What are the specs on it?

Wow, $199.00 for the 80mm Pro-M is pretty good? I think I may just pounce on it and get it over with once and for all!

I was on the Pro-M website that was linked to this thread, and there are a lot of different 80mm Pro-M's even for the '91 stang (shorty/standard)? Which one is the right one for my application? Also, there was another kit on there for a lot more, like over $300......it said it came with the mounting kit. Whats included in the mounting kit? Can I just use a stock mounting bracket for the MAF? Also, does the MAS come with this price of $199, or do I get mine reprogrammed, or do I have to buy anther sensor?

Cam Specs:

540* Lift
284* Duration
FP at .40"

I know the cam is an issue so I may have Ed at FTI grind me up something new, plus I'm thinking about a 100 shot of Juice to get me deep into the 11's!

Shoot, can someone give a paraphrase of what that article says??? I tried reading it and my eyes starting going cross!! I think though from going to the end of the article (I know I cheated!), I gather that its saying that no matter what, a recalibrated MAF/MAS is gonna mess with your system?

That's right.

1) All aftermarket MAFs "fool" the EEC into squirting the "correct" amount of fuel.
C&L does it with a different size sample tube and Pro-M does it by changing the voltage output from the meter the corresponding percentage of injector size change.

2) The greater the difference from the stock injector, the greater any issues will be.

The injector size is part of the EEC program. Ford does not calibrate MAF sensors to injectors. This is programmed in the EEC. The best way to compensate for different size injectors, then, is to reprogram the EEC via a chip or some piggyback tuner.

I'd go with C&L's recommendation and install a stock air box assembly and see if that cures your problem. C&L specifically states to use the stock setup with their 76mm MAF & inlet tube combo.

That's how I have it in my car (heads/intake/stock cam/19lb inj) with zero issues.

Good luck,
