which side is which

hi guys im in the middle of my clutch swap and am at the point of reinstalling everything anyways i do not know which side of the clutch faces the engine is it the side that has the splined shaft sticking out further or the other semi flush side

there should be some kind of marking wether its a stamping or a paint mark. but the more flush side faces the flywheel. and the side that sticks out more goes to trans.
