There's nothing to "work" on a DCC controller. It does the "work" for you.

DC controler is a great addition to an electric fan. Just wire it up as it says in the instructions and you are set. I have about 1/4 inch between my waterpump and fan on my setup.

My problem is my 2-1/8" thick radiator and extra pulley for S/C. My Griffin has (2) 1" tubes inside. Car runs fairly cool w/ stock fan and police clutch. Just makes a lot of noise cause fan engages earlier. I decided to go with Brians dual fan and controller setup. I cannot use a single fan as it hits the lower pullies. The stock fan shroud was literally 1/8" from the lower pulley. The combination of S/C, gear drive and stock fan was almost overwhelming. I appreciate all who took the time to contribute to this thread. I'll update after fan is in w/ pics. Thanks.

I think that Taurus fan is a good idea, unless you discover a better fan for your car.

i use a 96 thunderbird(had the 4.6L) electric fan from the junkyard, it's a bit thick so i only have about 1/4-1/2" of space between the actual fan motor and water pump pulley, plus i had to trim down the shroud of the fan and it sits a couple inches below the top fin of the radiator..but works extremely well, my car has never overheated with this fan, once the fan kicks on(parts store adj. controller, 50 bucks) the temp guage only goes down till it kicks off, great fan but probably hard to find, check ebay?

Maybe we should compile a list of dimensions and amp draws of all the OEM Ford fans + any other fans that people have been known to use (i.ie. Volvo, Dodge, Ramchargers, etc) and make it a sticky. Like that post on the Corral but more extensive... since there seems to be different fans for each engine and each generation of Taurus & Mark VIII (?).

I've been reading up on these e-fans forever and I still don't know which one to go with. I have a Griffin 2-core and and might go s/c in the future so clearance is an issue for me.
