Which throttle body and maf

65mm power plus TB or 65mm Accufab? And what size MAF will suit me best?

you will really not need anything bigger than a 65mm TB unless your gonna have a turbo, or blower....as far as MAFs go...the the Pro-M 77mm or 80mm are the only ones i recommend....

Dont buy a Power Plus TB those suck, Get an Edelbrock like I did you wont regret it. As far as a MAF go w/ a 76MM C&L or a 80MM Pro-M

There are no Accufabs for our cars left (new anyway)
PP are Your choices are FRPP or BBK (the one I have)

70mm TB and a 76mm c&l or a 80mm pro m

do NOT get a 70mm TB unless you have a Power Adder.

do NOT get a C&L or the 75mm bullet.

Prom 77 or Prom 80 (less $) are fine and can grow!

Nope, and accufab does not make them for our cars unless you go to a fox body TB set up and Power plus sucks.

70mm is NOT too big, don't let the internet racers tell you any different. The 80mm pro m is the better way to go and it's even cheaper now.

id say go 70m on the tb if you have a manifold of some sort. i always considered 75mm tb if you have a power adder. the 77mm or the 80mm maf is also good.

Search around and read...there are plenty of people making gobs of power with only 65mm TB..

There are numerous old issues of the Mustang Mags that show WORSE numbers with the 70 and 75mm TB's in "typical" street Setups.

70mm is NOT too big,

70 is TOO big unless you get a power adder.

Joe and I got the BBK's for $179, and spent $40 to polish only the upper (visible) half at a local polishing shop...Came out pretty nice.

I'd go with 65. I have a 65mm TB without any kind of H/C/I and after joining these boards I've learned that that is overkill. If I could do it over again I would have stayed with the stock 60mm and spent my money on something more productive, as I don't plan on doing h/c/i for a while.

YES, and one more thing I would add is that just because you go SC or Turbo, does not AUTOMATICALLY mean that you have to go above 65.

You could slap a Vortech on a stock mustang and still make good power with the stock TB..

the reason Accufab doesnt make TB's for our cars is because when they were doing testing they found no power increase from a bigger TB....so they wouldnt sell a part that would not give any gains.....

Sorry dude, but thats 100% WRONG Ed Curtis told me to get a 75mm TB for my little all motor stock shortblock 302, no offense, but i'd take what he has to say over you when it comes to dialing in my combo As stated, go 70mm TB for your car, juiced95..

Id go with 65mm tb as I didnt notice aftermarket heads in your sig.... 70mm is not to big at all if you had a good set of heads.. I ran a 70mm on my 302 and put down 315rwhp, 342tq and never had a problem with it.. Pro-M 80 for the mass air. Id consider the 70mm TB if a good set of heads are in your future.

BTW...isnt Ed Curtis also a "SALESMAN"?

Anyway, it's not what "I SAY" it's what I have seen in Dyno tests in about 6-7 issues of Mustang Mags including one in 1998 on our cars ( I read it last year waiting in a performance shop).
In that article, on a car with full exhaust, the 65mm TB had like a 2HP increase over stock, and the 70 and 75 both lost HP when compared to stock. That is the only article that I remember EXACT results.

Also, find me me 5 guys in this 94/95 Forum with 75mm TB's and post their combos.

IMO, a large TB is the biggest waste of money and probably one of the most overrated upgrades on our cars

I have a 75mm on mine... and as far as ed curtis being a salesman he could have sold him a 70mm or 65mm just as easily. In the article what was done to the motor they were sticking these throttle bodies on?
