An intake and tuner will make the biggest difference in performance.

CAI isn't going to do anything for your exhaust note. If you truly want louder and a performance increase you may want to do LT's and x-pipe or h-pipe. I went CAI and tune first though. I want louder but I'm being patient!

either JLT or C&L. They are regarded as the best of the best in terms of performace, quality, etc. The JLT costs a little less though, but in my opinion doesn't look as nice either.

make sure to get a xcal2/3 tuner with it, else you'll be leaned out like crazy. If you want loud, spring the 150 bucks for a pypes X offroad pipe, stock mufflers sounds pretty good with it, you'll pick up a few ponys to.

There are several options out there for CIA's. I went to Brenspeed and bought the tunable induction one with the SCT2 tuner.

Also there are other cia's that says they require no tunes. Spectere is one I know off hand, and there are some others. I would suggest getting a tuner though...

Do you have a tuner? Just get a Xcal2 custom tuned from a place like VMPTuning.com and a C&L Racer with a 88mm maf tube. It's a sweet set-up. It'll be like a whole new car once you get it all installed !!

I have to agree with this... C&L is a nice looking kit but I'm happy with my JLT II CAI!!!

I just bought an Airaid, and I did the Diablosport tune with it. I added about 30rwhp with both, and my car is a lot louder... things rattle in my car now!

Why doesn't anyone here like Diablo?

Holy sh-- you aren't kidding. Not meaning to steal your thread, MI95Cobra. I just got my JLT II and Bamatune put in today. It is absolutely a whole new car.. and I am only using the 87 Performance tune. I'm running the tank low now to put in the 93 Torque tune. Man, the wife's not gonna like it, hahahaha. She's also not gonna like that I want more, more, more now.

Don't forget suspension mods like LCA's to help you better handle the performance your car already has.

That is always a consideration.

I wouldn't waste my money on one of the lower end air intakes when you can buy one of the best for a few dollars more ...
