which way does IAC plate go?

i never found a definite way as to which side of the IAC the small hole on restrictor plate should be mounted.

I got better results putting the small hole toward the motor side of the IAC.
There are a couple of ways to look at it: toward where the wires connect to the IAC or the littler hole goes over the hole with the fins inside it. There is a long thread in the tuning forum, about this subject.
