Whistling

I'm getting a whistling noise from my motor..anybody have any idea what it could b?..I only hear it after I rev the car...or if I'm driving and I come to a light and stop then I will hear it for a like 15 seconds...any ideas its driving my crazy

my vaccuum gauge reads 17...... wen i put it in about a month ago it red 15. ( dont no if that has anythin to do with it )

Some times the IAC can cause a whistling noise.. check to see if it's the IAC

I know what noise you're talking about, mine does the same thing. But I have no clue where it comes from though.

Did you recently install a Gatorback belt? They make a whistling noise. Could also be a failing idler pulley.

almost 100% its this, same thing happened to me and it drove me up the wall, might be different for you but its sounds like the same thing.

one quick way to test if it's IAC related is to slightly hold the throttle open so it come off of idle and then pull the electrical connector and see if the noise stops. You have to hold the throttle open or the engine will stall out.

Mine turned out to be my TB/Plenum combination, although I never figured out where. I used an automotive stethoscope to pinpoint it, and noticed it went away when I would seafoam.

I found out few days ago that my C&L upper intake is whistling, now I know nothing is wrong . When I give gas and let go then whistle.
