I think that doing this modification is really cool and I think you will be very happy if you do it. White is a good color especially for gauges and it will look terrific. I would do it if I were you.

No, springs are not model specific. Any year Mustang from 1964 to 2008 will all accept the same springs.

Also, do not buy used springs. They may break if too many people are riding in your car.

I hope this answers all your questions.

My Ebay white faced "El Glow" gauges shorted out about a week after I put them in. I wouldnt piss around with those again. I think used springs would be fine as long as they arent all rusty and look like they would break if you sat on one... Pretty sure there are springs for verts, coupes, V6 models, etc., and they are all different. Buy the ones that match your model. Good luck with your mods, and if youre like the rest of us, you will want some imput on more mods tomorrow.

All the springs are the same my friend. Just like leaf springs can be interchanged with coil springs.

I just happen to have a guage cluster from my 98 cobra that needs to go bye bye.

Springs, they are not all the same, they are different weights lol, any springs from a COIL SPRING car will fit, I got my springs from my buddy's 93 vert fox, they fit like a glove. If I were going to do the springs again, I would go with Eibach's and a little stiffer, the BBK ones I have are a little soft.

Are you trying to say that leaf springs and coil springs are not interchangeable?
