I did, i love it, but for some reason it feels a bit more restrictive. which might actually be good cuase it felt like i got a little torque back in the low rpms but it actually feels to like it pulls harder from 4500 and up.

i dont know just late, and im bored.

anyone with the same results?

I love the flowmaster sound! I have the original 40 series with an off road mac h pipe. They are great, nice and loud. The gears made up for any torque loss down low and then some! :D :nice:

Post these dyno sheets please...I would love to see them
I gained like 25HP when I welded in my Flows....or was that from the sticker I put on....either way I noticed a HUGE diff. WTF, mufflers really don't do anything but change the sound. I welded in the Flows in mine and noticed a grand total of 0 gain. I had to put the Prochamber on to notice a gain. If you want to gain HP from exhaust get a mid pipe and a cat-back. Mufflers won't give you anything but sound.

I think what it comes down to is Magnaflow stickers actually give more horsepower than the Flowmaster stickers. :D You are absolutely right...they are STRICTLY sound, I have yet to see dyno sheets to tell me otherwise.

Magnaflow's website says that their 15644 system nets 22.9 rwHP and 25.4 ft-lbs. The 15644 is for the Cobra and I'd actually believe that, especially the blower motor. I wish there were honest, real plots of before and after gains on a stock or near-stock 99+ GT to go by.

you will gain moderate amounts of horsepower from swapping out flowmasters on a blown car. my friend's 9psi blown kenne bell made 31 more hp at the rear wheel with magnapacks vs his old delta blow-blowmasters. on an N/A i dont think it makes a huge difference. a full catback system usually runs 5 horsepower over stock to the rear wheels, unless the stock was really shtty. and in the long run, 5 horsepower really isnt going to matter much, when more important things come into play while racing... such as weight, and how good of a driver you are

So the ONLY thing your friend did to the car was take out the 2 flowmaster mufflers and put in 2 magnapacks??? This was same day, same condition, no other mods???

you got it. the flowmasters were weld-ins to the stock piping... he cut it all off up to the ball joint flanges of the H pipe and threw up a magnapack system. I dont think the mandrel bends make a huge difference, but they can't hurt. Flowmasters ARE baffled, louvered, and chambered mufflers, which DO restrict airflow to create effective sound control, Vs manaflow's straight through design. in the end the loss of backpressure causes you to lose a tad bit of low end torque (which is best compensated by decent rear gears anyway) but gains of higher RPM hp, like in his case.... as far as i know the conditions were the same, he added and changed no other mods, and it was on the same day, but later on in the afternoon and opposed to morning.

I switched from dronemasters to magnaflows. I noticed zero power difference between the stock system, flows, or magnaflows. I made the switch because the flows drone like crazy. The magnaflows don't sound as aggressive but the drone is very minimal.
