I will make this a long story short - I got the Crower stage 3 blower cams, titanium retainers, and the high lift springs designed for the lift (.612/.612) for the stage 3 blower cams. On two completely separate occasions I have had a spring break on me, causing the valve to drop, destroying the engine and cylinder head. The first time it happened I was doing 25 mph at about 2800 RPM, the second time it happened my car was sitting in my garage at idle. On this most recent occasion, there is no sign of PTV on any of the other pistons (no nicks in the top of the piston), but there is a nice hole in the top of the piston where the spring broke and valve let go. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem; after talking with Crower they are telling me they have had very few problems with these springs. I don't see how that can be, especially since they've broken on me twice already over the course of 3 years, with nothing more than 1,000 miles on the springs.
