Me too.

The 4 speed auto trans was the AOD family.

no our 76 has a 2.8L v6 with a c4. unless its a top loader?

i know the car is a 4 speed

Dude my dads f-100 has a c4, it is a 3 speed.

If the car has 4 gears then its not a C4

Toploader is a manual tranny.

sigh.. is it a auto or manual.. you have two options.. top loader (manual) and a C4.. (auto).. they didnt put AODs in cars in 76.. so its one of the two.. unless its a FMX

thats what i was getting at with the toploader, i got a fmx in my 82 f150. thing shifts way to hard for how slow it is.
