who has the best weather stripping??? im thinking about getting from 50resto.com but i dont want it to be some cheap crap that i would have to replace in a few years.

I bought the package deal they have with the door and hatch weather stripping, they also have it for doors and trunk in a package for coupes. it was good stuff no more wind noise. Pretty much everything I haver bought from 50resto has been top notch stuff.
ok great....damn water leaks in real bad around the top of the doors so i need to get it fixed fast so im gonna order soon.

It's probably leaking at the top of the doors because of the door pins as much as because of the weatherstripping...

I have got the weatherstripping from 50Resto, California Mustang, Ford, and Autozone. Out of the above, I like the stuff Autozone sells its from Metro Molded Parts, here is the link to the door strips 87-93 Weatherstrips Every so often I shoot them with silicone spray to keep them flexible. Last time I checked Ford had them for $50 and Autozone was like $35 each.
I would definitely check ur pins too. Just open door slightly and see if the door can be raised and lowered at the hinges. If it moves, the bushings are wore out and need replaced with the pins. I did not achieve good seal untill the pins/bushings were replaced.

If the Ford weather stripping is so great than why do we all need to replace ours....I'm not downing Ford, just a thought.

Well these cars are in many cases 11-17 years old, weatherstripping can't last forever. But I never thought about it that way. bhuff was just saying it may last longer than other companies, who really knows? It could depend on where you live too. I'm sure cold New England winters will be rougher on them than sunny Florida.MustangLXT said:

Wear and tear is based upon several factors. How many times u open and shut your door, how you drag ur feet across the door sill, weather related conditions, etc, etc.
