i use it for every thing motor oil transmission and rear end no problems here

I agree. I more or less use Mobil 1 in everything, with the exception of the tranny. I use Pennzoil Synchromesh in my 3650. Shifts smooth.

I've heard that RP Synchromax is hard on the synchros in the 3650's. Take that with a grain of salt, just something I've read on the web.

Dont do it. I had it and it didnt last. Basically my trans started shifting like crap so I took it to a shop thinking it was the syncros. Turned out the RP had broken down and was so thin it barely coated my hand. At the time the car was only driven on the street and had nothing but bolt ons and a tune.

+1 right here. Search Royal Purple on these forums and you'll see plenty of me trolling about why not to buy it for almost every application. Why you need that many additives (besides detergents which keep particles in suspension for filtering) in a transmission? We'll never know.

I run RP ATF in my T45, and have no complaints. Shifts smooth and seems to be quieter. I would have used Mobil one but the shop put RP when I asked them to put a synthetic in it.

Thanks for the input. I guess I will be looking into a different transmission fluid. Does the same go for their Gear Oil?

Very much so. Google white paper test, Royal purple gear oil

A couple of yrs ago I had a built up motor in an Integra and used RP. I was not impressed, and I gave RP another chance last year in the rear end of my 'stang and shortly afterwards I had some bearings go out. So I will never us any RP product.

I am most definately NOT putting RP in my car...

How about Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF & Mobil 1 Synthetic 75w90 (does this require friction modifier?)

RP sucks ....

I have Mobil 1 in my trans right now (no issues). I'll need to change the fluid this summer, and I'll be using an Amsoil product. I use Amsoil oils in my diff & crank case as well. Good stuff!

Mobil 1 synthetic ATF is legit. One of two fluids (Mercon V) that i'd let go into my built auto.

I can't believe they just bought out our track. Everything is purple. Looks more like a circus than a dragstrip. However, they are updating some of the facilities.

shouldn't need it, pretty much all gear lube have the friction modifier in them already so you dont have to worry about mixing it in. if your car requires a friction modifier then you dont have to worry about mixing it and if your car doesn't require it like mine then it wont hurt it either.
