Finally fixed it after 5 relays I took the one off of my
86 Capri and put it on the McLaren and its fine

Not trying to be a smart A$$, but if your having that much trouble with relays I'd buy which ever one was on your 86 Capri since it seemed to fix your problem.
That's wierd that your Motorcraft was junk. It's hard to beat OEM parts. I'd start looking into other areas of the circuit. It may not be the relay giving you all the greif.
