Personally, I'd rather keep the Eleanor look special. I don't want to see tons of them driving around. Maybe if it was very limited.

PLEASE I WOULD LOVE IT

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE ELEANOR STYLE. FOR MANY OF US FANS, WE WONT BE ABLE TO OWN AN ELEANOR. THE NEW MUSTANG REPRESENT A BLAST FROM THE PAST. THE ELEANOR KIT WOULD ALLOW OWNERS TO TRANSFORM THEIR NEW MUSTANG INTO THEIR ULTIMATE DREAM CAR. ARE YOU PLANNING ON DEVELOPING A KIT YOURSELF? KEEP ME POSTED OF ANY UPDATES OF AN ELEANOR KIT FOR THE 05 STANG.

The Eleanor is a bit overdone for my tastes, and, as PimpDaddy says, if everybody has this special edition, well, then what's so special about it anymore anyways. Kind of like I say in my rants on spoilers -- "Be unique, just like everybody else."

I'd rather people come up with new styling/customizing schemes and design elements rather than forever rehashing and recycling the same old, trite ones.

Now THAT would be truly unique.

I think that car looks bad ass, along with a viper or cars like that. I dont care how many other people like or have them. So who cares if its not "special" why not allow people to drive a car they want. Why does a sweet looking car have to cost more, if they have to make parts for the car anyway why not make them look really good. If ford was smart they would offer this or very similar body kit from your ford parts department or just make it that way to begin with. Hell, make the V6's look normal looking. Why let the guys with tons of money have the sweetest cars, let the car guys have them!

I'm not fond of the front fascia mods they did the foglights look bad and don't fit that car or most other cars.

I'm not crazy about the front end, either. The rest of the car looks great... of course, it is basically a Shelby clone with a different front end, different hood, and sidepipes.

Well let me first say this.... to this Day i've never seen an -67-Eleanor on the road or at any CAR SHOWS.
Do you guys ?

2nd...
You see alot of guys putting EFI swaps in there 65-78 Mustangs...
This would be the other way around for guys to add Old school look to 05.

Eleanor styling with 4.6 EFI Power is much better !!

just not a carb. guy

Keep the thread going .... pro's or con's.....

I don't know, I think the Eleanor styling could be a good idea depending on how Ford pulls it off... if they were to do it, it should be a very limited edition just as others have stated.

Until that happens, check this out http://www.uniqueperformance.com/performancepackage.aspx

You can essentially buy a perfect "Eleanor" remake from this company.

Check out EBay lately, seems like every other '67-'68 Stang is another Eleanor clone. But hey, if you want one more (or thousands more should Ford every make'em) all the power to ya. I just wish people would come up with more truly original approaches than ad nauseum rehashes of what's already been done.

I have seen a couple a VERY well done early body Stangs refitted with late model running gear in a very discreet and classy way. One guy even put in a Cobra IRS in a '65 or '66 GT -- glossy black, very clean, very classy -- pure performance function over peacock decoration.

I know what you mean about Ebay- I hate that so much..
67 fastback Eleanor clone- the worst ones are when there nothing done to the car in styling... Oh no it's got racing stripes

I've seen two or three before on Ebay Saying Eleanor Clone ! but they was Hardtops and not Fastback Models I just don't get people ..

Same go's for people calling stock 87-92 LX or GT calling them COBRA's if they have a d*m wing...

I think you should do whatever you want to YOUR car. Peoples opinions shouldn't matter when it comes to YOUR ride, different strokes for different folks you know?

I think the "Eleanor" style would look good on the new stang. I personally am going to work on getting the "Concept" look on my 05 GT. I would kill for the front and rear end to match the Concepts.

BTW: I already wrote Maier Racing and asked if they were thinking about doing an Eleanor kit for the 05 and they said that "Yes they are going to attempt it" and if enough interest spikes then they will produce it.

I would like to see something similar to the Eleanor styling on the 05. Especially the duck tail spoiler.
