If you had read my other thread, you would have known that I was replacing the engine in my '66 GT. You might also know that everything I do to my car I was to be easily reversed.

Well, it wasn't really my plan to do a full resto on the car, I was just going to scuff down the clear and reclear the car (the car had been repainted with base/clear at some point in its history). However, looking at the paint, there were some repairs that needed to be made, and I guess now I'm just going to repaint the car. So basically, new engines, rebuilt transmission, rebuilt suspension, paint. However, not replacing the interior...it is in very good shape already.

Engine is in, now for the tear down

So, who makes a good shoulder harness conversion (front and rear) for these cars?

Well, it's really coming together now.......just some minor tweaking of the nose and tail panels, trim, and final buff and glaze.....

The finished car will be at Cavalcade of Wheels in South Bend, IN this coming up weekend (March 22-23).

So, did no one notice the 68 Shelby GT500 sitting on the rotisserie next to my car?

One last shot before I get some at the show this weekend!

(Don't mind the temporary exhaust hanging out under there........the exhaust system is the only thing we ran out of time on. Next week it will get its proper exhaust)

Other than the exhaust system....she's done.

Here she is loaded on the trailer about to head over to the show.....

And sitting at the show on set-up day, waiting for us to deliver the other cars we took.

Your car turned out great. We are going to have to try and hook up sometime, we're only 1 1/2 hr away from each other.

Absolutely. We make it out to Ft. Wayne a few times a year. My wife and boys like making use of all of the bike trails out there.

In fact, I'll be there next weekend to pick up a 1978 Mustang II to start working on with my oldest son.

Took her out today. Just a couple of minor bugs to iron not...not much though. Put 315 miles on her between yesterday and today.
