Why do I keep fryin starters???????

I just got the car together and had an old starter i knew worked i hit the kep and nothing no cranking try everything possible and nothing pull the starter and hook it to a battery and it does nothing just sparks. Put another starter in that was in the car before hit the kep and same damn thing!!!!! what the hell is doing this...

Sometimes longtube headers will kill starters from the heat. Also have you put a NEW starter on or just old ones?

are you sure the starter solinoid is good? If it's not cranking, that might not necessarily be the starter. Maybe you could take the starters to autozone and have 'em checked out.

yea i second the starter solenoid on the fender on driverside.. If that is bad that could be the problem and not each of these starters

problem was a loose ground and ignition key so i wired up a push button for the starter works like a charm...
