A guy on ebay is selling take-off parts from and for an "LX" 2005 Mustang. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Ford quit using the term LX many years ago?
I had an LX Mustang, a 1990 if I remember correctly, and it was a V8. So LX is not a generic term for a six cylinder. It referred to a package level, not an engine.
Again, someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the term LX went away a long time ago. And if that's correct, why do people still refer to new Mustangs that way??

1993 was the last year of the LX Mustang...no clue why some people still use it for non-GT's.

Ford still uses the LX term internally for non-packaged, basic mustangs.

I see lots of Ford dealers using the label LX in newspaper ads. I guess it sounds better than v-6.

Ford does use the name LX to refer to it's base models unofficially.

I always see dealers selling 2005 Mustang "LX"s

The ****ty part is i own an LX, and everytime i tell people that they think it's a base model car. Now i just say 5.0.
