Bought this 2006 GT from dealer and whoever owned it definitely put some work into this. But why would whoever owned it put this on it. I know R stands for roush. New to mustangs so not sure what he put into it. View attachment 535274

It doesn't have anything to do with Roush at all. Meet the Mustang GTR:

Ford Mustang GT-R - Auto Shows - Car and Driver

It's a stripped down, out of the box, road course car.

The dude who put the "R" on your car just thought it would cool or something. You know... Like Cobra emblems on GTs and 6 bangers.

Definitely weird on his end. I need to take it off. He did put a lot of work onto this car.

Yeah... That's a pretty clean ride. Not sure what the thought process was. What your likes/dislikes/plans for it?

Actually love the car. Lots of great body work it's a 2006 only 22.000 miles on it. Love the working shaker hood. Wheels are 20 in Foose. Not sure what he has done for engine work need to have that looked at. Car sounds amazing. It's lowered. Maybe put new cams. And different brakes.
