Why is my car not faster?

I have a full exhaust, systemax intake (lower only), ported the exhaust side of my heads (basically took out EGR bumps and smothed), a K&N, plus all the free mods and removed smog stuff. My car is a 5spd GT with 2.73s. I ran it with a g-tech pro comp and it would only do 14.7, I was expecting more that that.

What would you do first?

That could be pretty close depending on milege and driving. Not to piss you off but the internal wear of your engine significantly decreases power to the wheels on a high milege engine. The stock gear is killing you!!! And traction on the street is a lot worse than on a hot sticky track. Just my .02!!!

Clean the MAf sensor wires with a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol. Our drag car picked up 3 tenths by cleaning a filthy MAf sensor. If possible pull the sensor out of the housing and cleaning the wires will be much easier. If not spray some contact cleaner on the 2 wires, but they must be dry before starting the car back up. Hope this helps.....

What do you mean by pull the sensor out, just take it off the fender. I don't think that I have ever cleaned one of these and always thought there was only one wire.

I haven't checked the codes since engine light has never been on.

The plastic box on the top of the housing is actually the sensor, not the big round aluminum housing. The plastic box should have 2 screws in it and the sensor comes out. If the screws are the original ones they are tamper proof and you need special hex bits to get the sensor out. If not pull the sensor out and there will be 2 wires. If not, take the whole sensor and housing out of the car and hold it up with the screen side facing you. Look very close inside the screen at the top just under the black box and you will see a hole with 2 wires in there. Those are the sensors!! Spray the cleaner on those wires if possible
