Whats the widest you can go on a 17x9? (its lowered with an eibach pro kit too if that matters) Want it to look nice but don't want any problems or anything.

When I had my '99 and '01 Formulas, I had a set of OEM WS6 wheels that were 17x9 and I ran Firestone SZ50's in 285/40R17. Never had any problems with that width.

275's are a nice flush fit with the rim, no bulging or anything

Those wheels gotta be by 10.5 or 11. No way they're X9.

holy ***** that looks so badass. I don't want to start a whole new topic so i'll just ask this here:
I don't know a whole lot about tires, are they normally supposed to be wider in the back? Yall just said 275's go great with 17x9, figure I could leave those in the front and put something wider in the rear? maybe a 10.5? Or would 10.5's fit all the way around? Just trying to figure out the best looking combo.

That is how a Mustang should look from the rear.

10.5's would make it look "skateboarded" in the front even though technically they would "fit". but best look IMO is 9" up front & 10.5" in the back

Goodyear F1 GS-D3 in 315...most likely..I think the rear is 17x10.5 and it looks really mean...

Couldn't have said it better! But I may have to 'settle' for 10" in the back as they don't make a 10.5 BC Smoothie II (which is what I've decided I MUST HAVE!)

Most manufacturers recommend 275s for a 9" rim. Just go by the manufacturer's web site and look, they all have charts with specs for their tires.
