I am about to paint my car, and I was looking for some outrageous paint schemes, but I can't find any! I really want to set my car apart from others, and make people say "wow". Anybody have anything for inspiration?

Define "wild." To me, a life-size airbrush of Dita Von Teese spread out on my hood would be pretty wild...

Ghost flames are always a safe bet, though.

If you like flames give www.killerpaint.com a try. As for outrageous, sometimes the best looking car is one with a simple clean paintjob. Try being different without being tacky. Seems like tacky paintjobs are the growing trend. Good luck.

why ask about other crazy schemes when you want to be set out from the others and different? just let your imagination go wild and design something yourself.

I just want something other than a single color or basic two tone car. I've been looking for pics of that coupe for almost a week! thanks! Anyone got anymore?

Forgot to ask ... what color are you starting out with? I've seen silver over black on a couple of cars and it looked pretty nice for a two-tone - black up to the door-molding line, then silver from there on up. Kinda contemplating the idea on my notch for when I redo the paint again. (I would go with white over black, but it'd probably look too much like a highway patrol car and I'd catch flack over it with the po-po...)

Ummm...

I think overly elaborate paintjobs and such kinda went out with the late 80's/early 90's. Things like finish-line banners, New Wave graphics of all sorts of funky neon colors, metal-flake paintjobs in general, and that sorta thing ... they've pretty much had their heyday, and the trend seems to be about done. The last cars I remember seeing like that were the Pace Car Editions of the '93 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, with the black-and-white paint scheme that had the funky pink stripes and yellow accents here and there. Anything beyong a two-tone paintjob better be some kinda airbrush artwork of some kind, or it's gonna probably look like a junkyard special with random body panels slapped on.

Monochromatic is teh win 9 outta 10 times ... as long as the wheels aren't painted to match, too. (Again, painted wheels = 1993. Think Chevy Beretta GTZ...) Two-tone is nice when the colors go together - that one guy with the red upper and black lower had a good setup - and mayyyyybe the done-to-death but long-lived racing stripes of whatever contrasting color could work.

The beauty of paint, IMHO, is simply in the color choice and not so much in how fancy you get with playing mix n' match or with designs.

my favorite paint color is called i believe Black Cherry, it looks black, but reflects redish. I really know if if a fox has enough in the hips to pull that off though.

I was kinda turned away on that must up there untill i saw the horse on the hood, i think that looks really sweet.
