I am looking at a new set of heads for a rebuild. Block will be built to stock specs with forged internals and anderson b-31 cam. Would a set of heads milled . 040 bump compression to high?

They are a set of old style tfs high ports. On ebay right now I have not purchased them yet, but was interested in them, seems like a good price.

I'd stay away from that one, .040" is a whole lot taken from a set of heads

I've never heard of going more than .030 off, but that of course depends on the heads and what the original chamber cc was...if they're some kind of 65cc chamber heads then i guess maybe that'd be ok. It just depends on what the ending chamber cc turns out to be and what the CR ends up being.

I have seen chevy heads angle milled as much as .100, but I would stay away from those.
