It'll work, but the wiring on your car is different than the 2 plug design.I'm sure someone here will know how to wire the 3G to yours.

It seems to me that Daggar has posted some good info on the retrofit in the past.

Good luck.

I'm pretty sure your car was carbed from the factory right?? (With the external voltage regulator on the inner fender). I did a high amp alternator conversion from Alterstart (Ebay)... The alternator cost about 125 bucks, then 25 for the wiring kit from them. It was a bolt on install (althought I DID have to enlargen the bottom bolt hole with a drill bit), and was a One wire deal. Only thing.. it wasn't a 3G alternator.. It was a 2G design, with the external fan, but 150 amps.

Edit: They no longer sell this alternator.. now they sell a 3G with 160 amps for 170 + 18 shipping. Good deal if you ask me! Check it out...

Awesome! Just make sure not to hack up the stock wiring becuase if anything goes bad with the alternator, you have to send it to TEXAS to get fixed.... Keep the stock wiring there, so you can use the stocker if/when you have to send it back... Also... Don't let them charge you 16 bucks to ship it back to you if you do need warranty work... Buy shipping to them, and back to you from UPS... for me... they wanted 16 bucks to ship back... and I paid 20.50 UPS there and back! Just stick the label in the box and tell them you put a return shipper label in the box.

thanks for the advice.

the only thing im worried about is that when it shows up itll probably have the Vpulley. even thou i emailed him and asked if he could put a serpentine pulley on it. and also put that in the memo box when i paypaled him. i just seem to have that kind of luck.

lol, yeah... they're usually good about that stuff. Mine did come with a v-pulley, but I just swapped them when it got here... If need be, just take both alternators up to any local auto parts store and they'll sway them for you for free... Or do it yourself if you have an impact gun.
