I see a ton of nice aftermarket 4v intakes but the 2v intakes are hard to find. Will a 4v intake work with my heads and if not why?

Edelbrock makes a Performer intake for the 2V head that uses a 4V carb. We have one on our '65 coup. You can get one from Summit.

I know edelbrock makes that intake but I am refering to buying used ones from ebay and such. Second hand intakes for the 2v are hard to come by.

Also, I am looking for a single plane design so my choices are even more slim.

I would keep watching ebay.I was going to use a Street Dominator on my 351c and it is a single plane design (there is one on ebay right now)but I found a Weiand X-celerator #7516 at a local swap meet so I will try that one instead. The guys on the Cleveland forum seem to like the Weiand more than the Street Dominator. http://www.network54.com/Hide/Forum/119419

You can use one, but there will be a port mismatch. Not exactly ideal.

I see 4 bbl intakes for 2 bbl headed Clevelands on ebay all the time, just keep watching. A 4 bbl port intake will work on two bbl heads, but as hobbyhorse said, there's a port mismatch.

The 4 bbl heads have larger ports than the 2 bbl heads, therefore they will not match up.
