That would be right...

Your 98 has a T-45 and that Mach-1 has a T-3650.

nope, they will not fit. u can make a t45 shifter work on a 3650 shifter by making a shim plate out of 1/4 plate. but u cant make the 3650 shifter work on the t45 b/c its too short.

You can.Hmmm,never heard of that.I got a tri-ax for the t45 in the 01 gt i just traded off,now got a 04 mach and trying to sell the triax so I can buy another for the Mach,so your saying that it would work in my Mach?
