I am thinking it will.

This is related to my JMS chip and lean issues. I had the EGR deleted in the chip, so it is blocked off now. Anyway, for reasons I won't go into I yanked the chip out, but the EGR is still blocked off. I should be throwing a CE light, shouldn't I? If not does that confirm my theory that my computer never reset when I yanked the chip out?

If you yank the chip out and the plunger on your EGR isnt pushed down 1/2 way, it SHOULD set off a C/E light... My C/E light has been on because of that but it doesnt bother me. Disconect your battery for an hour and plug it back in and see what happens?

The thing is the CE light is not there.....I disconnected my battery for about 18 hours and just drove the car, still no CE light, and I still get the lean thing above 4500, its like I never unplugged my chip????

just to get things straight on egr delete

I didnt want to make a new post so i just thought i would post on the newest one pertaining to my problem or questions..

To delete your EGR system....you get the egr delete belt bracket..remove the smog pump and attach the bracket and put your belt back on of course...remove rubber tubing from behind the smog pump...and also metal tube going all the way to the h-pipe...then disconnect two?? vacuum lines going to rubber hose behind smog pump and tape them off?? And instead of getting EGR plate and totally removing it..you can just put a cap on the bottom where the header tube connected to it....i got everything this far..correct anything if im wrong...what else do i need to do...i read something about a plug halfway in or something....how and where....???

Thanks guys,
Mark

i think guys get the pintle in the EGR to sit halfway in its bore.
do remember, if one removes the EGR altogether, w/o burning a chip or letting the puter know someone, you can run into detonation issues.

good luck.
