Got my Cobra high volume oilpump last week and probably going to install it when the motor is hopefully finished this week (crosses fingers). I'm quite certain it will bolt right up but will there be any issues with the pickup and the GT pan? Do I have to mod anything?

I find this kind of funny... A GT owner upgrading to a Cobra oil pump. Yet when you talk to the Cobra owners they tell you the stock oil pump gears in the Cobra aren't the best and should be upgraded in favor of billet pump gears.

The Cobra Oil pump will work, and you should upgrade to Billet oil pump gears for the Cobra pump. Stock oil pump gears can break, some Billet gears are not properly spec'd though either. I believe that the spec'd problem has been rectified.

it will work, you will have to use the Cobra oil pump pick-up tube and you should have a deeper oil pan, as the Cobra pump could suck that 5qt pan down quickly if your on-it for an extened amount of time. noting wrong wth using the GT pump, its fine for most appts.
