a bud of mine has a vortech s trim on his stock 93 ho engine and has no problems, i dont know how much boost he is running, any way it was said a power adder was not desired therefore i see no problem with the hypers, i think the 93 cobra had hypers also, i havent toched my svt's motor as i want every thing original,.

I don't know how this will add to the argument but the M-6007-XE3M* and M-6007-XB3M* Ford crate engines come with hypereutectic pistons.

They are both pushin' at least 340 HP/305 ft./lbs. TQ.

This is what it ALL boils down to...

Hypers work.

Forged pistons work.

They both work with boost/nitrous/compression and etc.

The difference?

Hypers are not nearly as forgiving as forged. Meaning, piston failure will occur a lot faster and a lot easier when running a hyper once detonation happens. The forged piston will take the beating for a while longer and even take LARGER beatings (when detonating).

Its your choice. either will work.. forged just leaves a little more room for error. cool?

okay let me share a story I know A guy who has a chevy yes a chevy sb with a strocker kit .060 over bore 10.5:1 compression elebrock eteck heads and a radical cam basicly its 600hp on motor its in his drag car but here is the thing he also has a 200 shot of spray and it is all on speed pro hyper pistons. he had over 100 runs on it when he started having nitirous problems and he was fixing the problem not realizing he triggered the mirco switch. So when he went to move the car and started the car it detoinated and basicly destoryed the one piston the other 7 were fine so he put the other 7 and ordered a new 1 and put it in his daily driver 350. The motor would have probally went another 100 runs. The guy who desinged the motor said you can run a lot of power adder but you have to have the right tune.
