Will I NEED a 1" spacer for the track heat intake?

I think that it will. I think that is the one that I have but if you call Summit racing and talk to their tech dept. they will know for sure....I'm 90 percent sure I have the 3/8. You really want to watch your EGR and passenger side valve cover when tightening down......lol

Thanks man. I see you have TF HCI meaning the taller Valve covers as well...at leat I think...

I took off my egr. ;) ..oh but I think I had to grind down part of it on the intake though..hmm...

Yes, but when I pulled it out of the box, it looked lower meaing less clearance..or am I incorrect. Thanks guys. :)

I got mine for free.....LOL I didn't watch my valve cover when tightening down the upper intake and the egr put a crack in the pass. valve cover and it was not listed as a necessary part so Summit sent two VC's and the spacer for free.......

Helluva deal, other than having to wait a few extra days. Guess you are the reason the NOT FOR 94-95s is on the site?

I may be.......car was in the garage for a total of 4 weeks for HCI swap...
one of the retainers was loose...kit was missing 4 of the 8 plates for the heads.......but that disclaimer is def. there isn't it....

To be honest.....yes...I went with the kit that offered more hp...there are close if you compare but I think it is 10 or 20 hp difference.....
I see a lot of guys swapping for the track heat intake for sheer size.....I would buy the same kit if I had to start from scratch.....
I had to work some issues out and some were "rookie" mistakes but I am very happy with it after Don tuned it and will keep my auto alive.....

I'm an engine newbie.... I'm kinda leaning that route as well. I don't have the fund to dump a lot of misc. $$$ into a build and it looks like the best bet for me as well. Kinda interested on the spacer size (I have a 96 Cobra hood on my car). Not too sure how that'll work out.

Can you PM what type of tuning you ended up going with/cheapest route? I need to turn off my EGR, change my shift points some, and I would like to reverse my O/D button default to OFF instead of ON.
