Been doing this all spring. Will start fine, drive around, park it, won't fire again till it sits for a day whether I disconnect the battery or not. It usually starts again right away after shutting it off but if it sits for half hour then it won't fire. I've replaced distributor and TFI module, ignition coil. I've had a SCT Eliminator chip on it for years. The light on the chip only blinks once when I turn the key whether it starts or not. Can't remember if the chip light is supposed to be on solid when its running or not. Since I replaced the distributor and coil the only thing left I can think of is the computer.
I took the chip off the ECU and it won't even sputter when cranking so don't think it's a problem with the chip so how do I tell if the ECU is bad?
Thanks
