i just did a PI swap with comp cams and i'm wondering if these comp cams were the wrong choice to install? the cams are out 8 degrees due to VTP clearance i could of stuck with the stock PI cams but i'm not sure if i would of got more out of them due to degreeing them much closer than the 8 thats out of the comp?

I think you did pick the wrong camshafts because you have a
Powerdyne supercharger on your mustang you should of got
custom grind blower camshafts.Although I have seen people's
valves crash right into their pistons with the Comp 270's more
times than not due to PTV contact.

i personally think that the PI swap all together with S/C is really a bad idea, hope you like buying a new bottom end, assuming yours is still stock. cushman motor sports makes a really nice blower cam for PI headed NPI motors. the added compression from the PI swap is gonna really hurt your power making ability with the stock bottom end. P.S. those are so the wrong cams for you application.

i only picked these cams because i read an article in MMFF mag and they used the same cams w/ported heads Fast tune long tube headers not accessories with a pro charger @ 10 lbs and they used a stock bottom end and they put down over 600hp on their engine dyno. they werent recomending to run a stock bottom with their setup but my setup was a cheaper version w/out porting the heads and diablo tunning instead of the FAST tune stock headers instead of the long tube headers and running all my accessories and powerdyne @11 lbs. i was looking for no more than 400 hp @ the wheels but fell short due to the high compression = way less timing and the cams being out 8 degrees i think. the tune that was done was VERY CONSERVATIVE not to blow the bottom end. i will be replacing the bottom end in the next year or 2 as well as the cheap charger that i have. i just thought that i would of got to the 400rwhp mark and that would be it.

Pony you do know that valves crashing into pistons is called PTV contact? You seem to think you know a lot about everything but didn't know which subframes to buy. You go around bashing good companies, venders and respected forum members, and 99.9% of your info is either wrong or subjective opinion. I think you need to check yourself!
