I assume that's what's going on:shrug:

It will go most of the way up (power windows) then will need a little assistance to make it all the way up...

anyone had this symptom ??

Could be the little plastic/gluey caps inside the motor. Can't remember the specific names, but I had to replace them in my passenger motor. Easy fix, cheap part! :nice::nice:

I just fixed this problem on mine 4 days ago. This IS whats wrong with it..

This will be a 10 dollar fix or less. Take the door panel off, get a 5/16 socket, theres 3 bolts holding the motor on, take the motor off and disconnect wires.

Pop the cover off the motor, will need to tap two different places to get it off, you will see where to hit.

When you get the cover off, you will see the problem, theres a lot of broken pieces of plastic in there. Clean all that out from the gear, NAPA sells the three little plastic bushings for about 3 bucks, but i got the new gear also while i was in there.

If the 3 round bushings dont fit in the holes, just sand them down or what i did, take a razor and shave some off. (its very soft plastic.)

When taking off the metal gear dont loose the collar pin, they break kinda easy and fly across the room. This is a very simple job, a kid can do it.

Well, depends on the age of the kid but it is a relatively simple job. The "hardest" part for me when I did this was removing the motor from the door; it was a bit tricky if I remember right. Everything else was fairly straightforward. If you have any problems or aren't sure about a step in the process, just post back.

My hardest part in the process was doing it at 10pm at night, with the Florida humidity, mosquitos, and a girlfriend holding the flashlight on the motor/door panel. :rlaugh:

10 minutes worth of work and a whooping 9 and change is not a lot of work. Like I said it takes longer to clean up the inside then it does to re-grease it and replace the nylon bushings.

I just did this for the FOURTH time last week. It took me 90 minutes. 60 minutes total was spend on the following:

1.. Cleaning all the minced garlic plastic out of the assembly with all the grease in there.. I was very deliberate and careful doing this.

2. Lining up the 3 plastic pieces (the real name is TORQUE PINS) with the metal gear to drop it in.

3. Holding the motor in place to put the screws back in.

All the other parts combined took the other 30 minutes.

I suck as a mechanic and I did it..as mentioned above, carefull with the C-clip that holds the metal gear down, and also there is a little washer directly under the c clip..dont lose that either.

GOOD LUCK!
