Ok so I think I got it fixed.! The driver window has too much pressure on it at the bottom of the a pillar. So I either need to put spacers behind the hinges to move the door away from the body of.the.car or.take the rail off and somehow shave it down...... Anyone else have a better idea.???

That has already been adjusted I pulled the car completely.apart dash and all, when I sprayed it black. It went back together with a new top and rubber the passenger side is great. The driver side had some issues before the teardown. New rubber has exasperated the issue. The bottom front of the window has too much pressure on the rubber causing the window to stop short when rolling it up with the door shut. If I roll it up then close the door the rubber is so tight it tries to roll out of the rail. Had the upholstery shop take a look for me and we adjusted the rubber and the window. I have never had to space the door off the body,of a car before. The fender does sit about an 1/8 inch out farther than the door. I did not remove the fenders to paint the car. Are there special spacers for this or am I missing something simple here?
Thanks for the help

I've seen shims on hinges before, but on older vehicles, I can't say that I've seen them on fox Mustangs. How does the door to body seal look in the front? Does it look like it is being compressed more than usual? Do you know if your car was ever wrecked? It might not be a bad idea to try and space your hinges out a little and see if it makes everything line up better. Just a thought, I've never played with a vert.

Yeah it's all really tight near the hinge. I'll get some shims and try that first thanks
