Driving a stock '00 GT Vert. Passenger rear window switch is a problem child. Goes down fine every time. Going up is different. Sometimes works normal. Other times a "Fonzy" type hit on the door panel at the switch area works. Other times, I just ease off the pressure on the switch just a bit and it works. Now for the ?'s. Are the switches repairable or is it a replacement only type item? Can I replace just one switch?

The switches are repairable but you will need some very specific electronic repair tools. If you don't have those then getting a new switch is not that exspensive.

It could be that the terminals on the back of the switch (where the wiring harness connects to the switch) may have a little corrosion on them. One time, my truck's switch started only rolling the window down so I took the wiring harness off and it was straight funky. Sprayed it with some electrical cleaner, let it dry, plugged it back in and no more problems. So check that first (it's free)... Or the harness could just be a little loose too ....

Checked all the connections already. That is how I found that if I gently press the up position or ease off of the button a bit, the window works great. Looks like I will get a new switch soon. Thanks.
