Anyone do it yourself??? Im looking at $240 installed for a ppg or $120 for just the glass... Wanna know how hard it is to do.

Personally, I put it right there with gears - I wouldn't do it. I don't have the tools or the experience and I certainly would not want it to leak or anything...$120 for all of that labor doesn't seem too bad. JMHO.
I've done one. It's a pain in the ball sack. The extra $120 for the installation is the best money you'll ever spend.

+1, I helped a friend do it once and it was no fun at all. Plus you run the risk of breaking the new one putting it in. I'd let the pros do this one.
Screw the pros... Ive done everything my self with the car thus far... bought the glass today. Expect a write up soon.

I used to cut glass for a summer job and have put in 50 or so windshields. Never solo.
You have to be VERY temperature sensitive with the sealing compound. My shop had a specific wattage light bulb sealed in an old refrigerator that would keep the sealant at a magical temperature. The goop gets everywhere and is a PITA to clean off. Surface preparation is key. Be careful relocating inspection stickers, fast pass transponders, and of course the rear view mirror mount.
I'm with Kurt on this one. I wouldn't do it myself even with my experience.

Didnt go so well.. old glass is out.. but the urethane from the factory was so thick. welding or picture wire would heat up and break. So we resorted to sawzall and a tarp.. Small ding in the dash
but otherwise the windshield is out and we are prepping to put the new one in... would of went fine if we didnt get the small ding in the dash...and since im bothered by every imperfection im on the hunt for a new black dash if i cant find one for $50 ill just leave this one in till i get some $$$ i can swap a dash in about 3 hours now anyway.
Glad i can say im doing it myself though.

Damn man sorry to hear that. We used to use an air knife, which is a 3 inch long extremely thin reciprocating stainless steel blade that you could bend slightly as needed. It went through the urethane like it wasn't there. That piano wire trick only works on Horsepower TV.

$20 For Pinch Weld Primer

I need a new A Pillar seal... Mine ripped...
And i have a small ding in the dash probably cost me about $100 for a new dash pad.
A few Random dings from the wire brush nothing noticeable.
Worth it to said i did it my self. Yes.
Glass still isnt in, waiting on pinch weld primer.
Worth the Down Time, Not so much...
However even if i bought a new dash pad... After tax im about even.
However after all of this i read that urethane bonds best to urethane and your not supposed to come clean down to metal. But i thought the best way to prep would be go down to bare metal.. so now im going to pinch weld primer the whole area.

My time is a Zero if im unemployed...
I found a dash local for $50 but it was sold :/I lined another up for $100 shipped.
I did it more to say it was something else we did.
The car had 2 big rock chips having 220+K on the car... Then i was blowing something off with the air nozzle and it shot off up in to the air and split the windshield.
The dash isnt that big of a deal... it sounds worst then it looks:
Oddly with all the small problems here and there we have had with the car and the long time its been off the road.
You would think it would have alot of squeaks and creeks and annoyances but it is miraculously solid
And im so happy with the way it turned out
