I have a 66 mustang with single speed windshield wipers. They stopped working last week. Is there a simple test to locate the problem? I already replaced the fuse. Looking to test switch and motor next without having to replace both to find out whats wrong.

Good F'N Luck, I hate wipers. My wiring diagrams suck on wipers it doesn't show where the wires go inside the switch and the motor, So I can't give you specifics on how to check it.

I can help you with what I know.

#1- the wiper motor has to have 12 volts all the time the key is on, even when it is turned off. This is so it can park after you shut the switch off.

#2- both the motor and the switch have to have a good ground, clean all the grounds you can find.

#3- when you turn it on you should have at least one more hot wire frim the switch to the motor.

other than that, your on your own unless someone has a better diagram than mine. Hope that helps.

PS> buy at least a six pack before checking out the wipers. and stay away from sharp objects.
