Always a few projects going Hard part is getting motivated when it's freezing out. Right ow I'm repairing/painting loose parts on my 78 Cobra (see "Production Statistics" post) How about you?
I now work 3 minutes from the house. So I have been selling off my toys so I can focus my efforts on the Mach. I figure I am going to drive it all summer now that I am no longer comuting 3 hours a day! I have the center of a 3 piece bench seat from a new Chevy p/u. I am going to bolt into the back of my II, so my son has somewhere to sit. It is perfect, it's a little seat with 4 legs. The seat fits perfectly over the transmission tunnel. It has a built in lap belt also. The original back seats got tossed 17 odd years ago to put the six point roll cage in. I am also planning to change the car to 5 bolt. I am going to put 15" magnum 500's on it.
Mainly looking for slots for the red stripe car. And trying to decide what to do about the green stripe car.
Thought about fixing a couple of minor paint issues on the red stripe car, but the extreme possibility of "while I'm here, I might as well...." syndrome is a pretty strong deterrant.
E7 heads, Performer Cam, 1.7 Roller Rockers, Hookers. All that's left is a Holley rebuild and breakin the cam. Then I can take it down to have the side exit exhaust welded up, I just can't find the motivation.
Finally come across a traction lok for an 8", do i use the 3.00 gears or the 3.40's i have with it? Might make the swap soon if i can force myself into the black hole that is my garage.
i've been remodeling the house since may, new floors, drywall, paint, bedroom, and 2 bathrooms. I'm trying to sell my V rod, and i'm looking for a CB or King project car, something I can build the way I want it.
