Like the title says. Went to start the 'Stang for a quick run to the store and the wipers freaked out an then slowed to a steady slow pace. I reached over to turn the switch off and it was already off :/ is the signal/high/low wiper switch bad? I've got the fuse out now and rain x dumped all over the windshield so I'm not too worried about it. Just want to figure out whats wrong!

Probably a bad multifunction switch. One look inside the column at the connector would probably tell you if the harness, or connector are all melted. It's not at all uncommon for the MF switch to go bad, though I've never heard of the wipers staying on when it happened. I'm honestly not sure if the wipers use a relay, or not. If they do, it's very possible that the relay is latched and it's causing them to stay on.

It could also be an issue with the wiper governor or the park mechanism in the wiper motor itself (though the latter is much less likely).
