i have tried a new motor and even removed the switch but my wipers refuse to turn off. All I can do for now is pull the fuse. Could it be the delay box or whatever it is called. This is driving me mad. Any decent wiring diagrams online?

it could be the rain sensors in the cowl - if they are incorrectly sensing rain, the wipers wont shut off.

as Ratrapp suggested, check the governor/delay module and go backwards if need be. the wiper switch wiring can short out too.

good luck.

The wipers continue to have power supplied to them after you turn the steering column switch off. That's by design.

The park switch inside the wiper motor is toast. It shuts off the power when the wipers get to park position.

That's how they know where to stop so that they are parked at the bottom of the windshield when you turn the switch off.

Thanks guys. i have tried to follow the wires its just so tight in this car. So hard to follow. Ill check the govenerand everything else. I put a different motor in so i hope thats not the prob but it was a junkyard special. Thanks for all the help.
