Does anyone have the wiring diagram for a 2003 power seat?
I really need to know what pins on the female side of the connector plug go to !

I posted one at
http://members.cox.net/n0v8or/pwr_seat_a.jpg

This was scanned from the factory '03 wiring manual. If you need the power lumbar support wiring diagram as well, let me know.

Best bet for the factory connector would be a wrecking yard, but you would still have to splice the wires to it. Unless one end of the connector is part of the seat module, you could replace both sides with a connector set from the Radio Shack. What are you trying to accomplish?

connector

I have a 92 coupe and the seats are out of a 2003 need power to position seat. I have 12v available from power lumber from the 92 seats. So I need to know which pins go to what! I know that one of the pins powers the seat belt so I know that I don't need that one!

Looking at the bottom of your '03 seat, there should be 5 connectors with a short harness between them (not counting the power lumbar support system). The control switch has an 8 pin connector that is wired to a 10 pin main connector. The 10 pin connector is also wired to three 2-pin connectors, one at each motor. Do you get all of these wires and connectors with your seat?

The harness between the 8 pin (control switch) and 10 pin connector should have the following wires:

Pin . . . Color . . . . . . Function
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
1 . . Red / Lt Grn . . . RV motor
2 . . Green . . . . . . . . fused +12V
3 . . Red / Wht . . . . . H motor
4 . . Black . . . . . . . . ground
5 . . Yel / Lt Blue . . . FV motor
6 . . Red / Lt Grn . . . RV motor
7 . . Red / Lt Blue . . . FV motor
8 . . Yel / Wht . . . . . . H motor

(FV = front vertical; RV = rear vertical; H = horizontal; pin #s refer to the switch connector)

The black wire should have been cut to remove the seat from the donor car. Splice a wire to it and connect it with a lug and screw to a bare chassis ground point.
The green wire should also pass through the 10-pin connector. You can splice to it anywhere that is convenient and connect to your +12V source.

The factory manual does not show any 4 pin connectors associated with either the power seat or power lumbar support. Perhaps it was a "field modification". What color wires go to this connector?

OK, you guys have convinced me that something is wrong. It is the Ford factory wiring diagram that is wrong. I ran my seat all the way forward and peered underneath. Lo and behold! A 4 pin connector.
I pulled it off and noted the wire colors and sizes, and measured the voltages.

Viewing the seat in an upright position from the rear, the connector has 4 male pins facing you (2 rows of 2), and the plastic housing is wider at the top.

Pin / wire color / function
=========================
Upper left / black / chassis ground.
Upper right / brown-blue / seat buckle switch.
Lower right / green / lumbar power fused 15A.
Lower left / green / seat motors power fused 30A.
========
| G | B |
| + | + |
======
Looking at the pins from the rear of the seat, seat in an upright position:
G = ground, B = seat buckle switch, + = 12V

yes I knew we could do it togther thanks for the patience and all the help! You are the man! I should be able to leave the seat belt wire out and just do the dual 12v and a ground and I should be able to operate all of the seat functions! I have dual 12v from the driver and passenger power lumbar!
