I need some help. What is the difference between the wiring harness 1993 and 1994 mustang gt.. I just bought a megasquirt computer for up to a 1993 mustang , but I have a feeling its a 1994 wiring harness in my car the mass air plug is different then the stock fox mustangs I've had in the past. I'm hoping I can still use the Megasquirt in my car.

Mass air plug is the same. I actually run a 94-95 MAF on my car.

Quick way to tell is BAP/MAP plug. The sn95 cars don’t have it as the ECU has the sensor internally

Pics of the plug?

I would find it hard to believe someone used a '94 harness in a '93. They are way different. The distributor plug is different because of the remote TFI, the location and type of a lot of the connectors are different. It has a CCRM to run the electric fan and AC. There are no salt and pepper 10-pin connectors, but there is a bolt down junction on the firewall to allow the engine part of the harness to connect to the rest of the harness.

It's fox wiring harness.

It has a 1996-02 4.6L 6-wire MAF wired in. You also have 24# injectors. You can still MS it but just need to ID the MAF transfer function for that particular MAF or change it to a known unit

What tune/chip/ecu is being used now to make that all run. If it runs well, must have some sort of custom tune on it now

Time to pull the ECU out and see what's going on.

If you are going MS, you can delete it anyway and just run speed density, or you can leave it and tune it with MAF.

I definitely will after work tomorrow. I just bought a MegaSquirt ECU , I have feeling I'm going to have to ask a lot of questions to get it to work.

I never heard of that ECU. Looks like they are out of business (domain name is for sale).
If you don't have the tuning software for it, good reason to swap ECU's.

Any chance you would be willing to post some pics of the internals of that ecu, when you get around to installing the MS?
