I am having a problem with my harness. the color codes on all diagrams do not tell me what the wires do or are called, and the wiring harness I purchased is stamped and labled.

so here's the problem,
the diagram shows two wires to the starter relay
brown and red-blue
and to the alternator I have a bundle of wires in many different colors.

the harness has 4 wires I am unsure where they connect.
labled
solenoid power
alt. power.
alt. excitor.
ign. switch start.

does anyone know the color wire I am looking for on the diagram where these would connect.

thanks,
mike

The brown wire is # 262, and will go the energize the starter solenoid-S post on the solenoid.
The red/blue,(I forget the #), will energize the ignition circuit during cranking-I post on the solenoid.
The others to the alternator--what size? Where do they terminate on the other end?
