wiring help

Ok this may be a little ghetto , but I can't afford a bottle warmer for my nitrous kit right now...

My question is.. I plan on using a heating pad for your back, an aquarium heater or a water bed heater... so how do I wire something that plugs into the wall up on a switch in the car..... cut the end off and run ground and switch?? or do I need a relay????

Do they make a 12v heating pad? I tihnk you're going to need an inverter.
