Before I tell you about my situation,I would like to thank all the members of these boards for all the wonderful advise given. Okay onto the problem I have-over the weekend my 93 vert decided it didn't want to start, turned over nice ,but no fuel to the engine.

. I pulled codes and the one that came back was code 95.I went to the local ford dealership and got a new inertia switchand fuel pump relay switch, hoping that would solve the problem,it didn't help.Still the same
problem and the same code. So today Ilooked up all the info on dropping the tank and replacing the fuel pump, found some great advise here on stangnet.so Pull the fuel pump bracket out and I'm looking at it and the red wire coming from the bracket to the fuel pump has its insulation torn back and it looks like its burnt, the question I have is-Does the whole bracket have to be replaced, just the wire,or don't worry about it? also if it has to be replaced abouthow much would it cost, and would this be the cause of my code 95-Iwill thank you in advance for any advise.

In my brothers 86, this bracket is under the drivers seat. Every time he would move his seat back and forth, he would yank out a wire. If you can safely splice it back in, go for it.

You can solder a new wire in place of the old one. I have done just that with no problems. Be sure that the quick connects for the pump end are the correct wire size & width before you start cutting the old wiring out.

after I resoldered the bracket,I started to reassemble the fuel tank-no problems there.I started to put the wiring backet (the one from the trunk to the fuel pump) and its all melted, burnt and warped. I don't think this is normal, got the part on order at the Madden Ford. Any ideas on what would cause this, because I don't want any more problems(doing this isn't hard it's just a PITA!!)-just want it done right! The part on order is E5SZ14489C Thanks guys(and girls)!
